Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how OLED Display Animation Maker (oledanimationmaker.com), operated by Ashish (New Delhi, India), collects and uses information when you visit our website, use the animation editor, read tutorials, or optionally sign in to share community projects.
We designed the core editor so most work stays on your device. Optional sign-in and advertising partners introduce limited third-party processing, which we describe below.
1. Who we are
OLED Display Animation Maker is a free educational and maker tool with original tutorials on Arduino, ESP32, SSD1306, and SH1106 OLED displays. Contact: auy794@gmail.com or our Contact page.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information that stays on your device
The pixel editor, timelines, drafts under “Your Animations,” and many preferences are stored in your browser’s local storage or similar on-device storage. We do not receive a copy of those local drafts unless you explicitly share a project (see below).
2.2 Automatically collected technical data
When you visit the site, analytics and advertising partners may process:
- Pages visited, approximate timestamps, referring URL, and general usage statistics
- Browser type, device type/category, and approximate location (country or region)
- IP address and cookie or similar identifiers used for analytics and ads
2.3 Optional Google sign-in and community projects
Signing in is optional. If you sign in with Google to save or publish community animations, we use Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore (Google Firebase) to store:
- Your Google account identifiers needed for auth (for example user ID, display name, and profile photo URL when provided by Google)
- Animation project data you choose to publish (name, frame/bitmap data, FPS, timestamps, like counts)
- Which public projects you have liked (to prevent duplicate likes)
Public projects appear on Community Projects for other visitors. Do not publish animations that contain personal data you are not comfortable sharing. You can contact us to request removal of a project you own.
2.4 Information you send us directly
If you email support or message us on Instagram, we receive whatever you include (bug reports, screenshots, board/display details). We use that only to respond and improve the tool.
3. How we use information
- Operate and improve the animation maker and tutorial site
- Provide optional cloud sharing and community browsing
- Measure traffic and content performance (Google Analytics)
- Display advertisements that fund free hosting and development (Google AdSense)
- Respond to support requests and protect the service against abuse
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. Google may use cookies and similar technologies. Learn more at Google’s Privacy Policy. You can opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
5. Advertising (Google AdSense)
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google and its partners may use cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other sites.
You may opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info. See also How Google uses data from partner sites.
Ads are intended to support free access to the tool and tutorials. Editorial articles are written for makers and are not paid advertising reviews.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We and our partners use cookies and similar technologies for analytics, advertising, authentication session state, and remembering on-device preferences. You can control or delete cookies in your browser settings; some features (especially signed-in sharing) may not work fully if storage is blocked.
7. Third-party services
We may load resources or process data through:
- Google — Analytics, AdSense, Fonts, and (when you sign in) authentication
- Google Firebase — Authentication and Firestore for optional community projects
- Icon / CDN providers — fonts, icon assets, and JavaScript libraries loaded in the browser
Those services have their own privacy policies governing their data handling.
8. Data retention
Local drafts remain until you clear site data in your browser. Public Firebase projects remain until you delete them (where the product allows) or you request removal. Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics configuration and Google’s policies.
9. Children’s privacy
This site is for general audiences learning electronics and coding. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
10. International visitors
The site is operated from India and may use infrastructure in other countries (including Google Cloud / Firebase regions). By using the site, you understand that information may be processed outside your home country, where privacy laws may differ.
11. Your choices
- Use the tool without signing in — local-only drafts
- Avoid publishing projects that contain personal imagery or identifiers
- Opt out of personalized ads and Analytics as linked above
- Email us to request correction or deletion of account-linked public projects where reasonably possible
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
